Preview of the new graphics update

It will still take some time to get the new screenshots online. Meanwhile here's something to spice up the day: a sneak peek for the new graphics update, introducing a new goalie model that has been already integrated into the game. We're actually hoping to release some actual gameplay footage in near future, so please be patient.

Status update

Past month has been used to improve the existing motion capture system to be able to produce the massive amount of the animations (There's hundreds of animations that needs to be captured). Most of the work is now done but the drawback is that we probably won't be able to release the demo during the year 2008. Read more....

Status update + New screen

Summer & summer vacations are somewhat over and it's time to get back into FBL09 development. We haven't been completely inactive during the summer but the most work has been planning for the future. We will have a new motion capture session soon and I must say that we're quite eager to test our new motion capture suit in action. What's mostly missing from the demo is just the proper animations and that's what we're going to focus next. Read more....

Status update + New screen

It is already possible to play one period completely. The game includes goal counting, free hit, hit-ins, penalties so all the basic building blocks are pretty much in place. What's still missing is proper graphics, more animations and all the 'candy', which makes the fun factor for the game to dramatically increase. So we started to update the graphics and add new features for us all to enjoy later, when we get the first release out. See list of "things done".

Finnish Salibandyliiga to co-operate with Prodigium Game Studios

Finnish Salibandyliiga starts to support Prodigium Game Studios in the FBL09 development process. Finnish Salibandyliiga provides extremely valuable content to FBL09 in a form of player licenses etc. This allows us to create a lot more interesting product for all the floorball people. The actual game development continues on full throttle in order to produce a playable demo version of the game as early as next autumn.

Status update + New screenshots

Okay, yet again one more month of hard work with FBL09. This time we've got some improvements for the graphics. The game has also been divided into it's sub-parts (ie. faceoffs, penalties..). As a result of this, the game is slowly starting to form it's shape and we're still pretty determined to play the first 'complete' matches of FBL in the beginning of the summer. Read the status update here.

Oh, and just to inform you all: yet another interview of our team was published in the unihockey magazine (in German). Be sure to check it out at unihockey magazine website.

Status update + New video: Basic animations & cloth simulation in goal net

Let's break the silence with a status update from last month. There's also a new video, showing up some of the results from the last months development. The quality of the video is pretty poor, but as long as our videos are distributed through youtube, we'll just have to live with a fact that they compress all the videos. We'll try to publish these status updates from time to time. It helps all of you to get a clue what's going on in FBL09 development process and what's going to happen next. Read the status update here.
